Share your story on the TalentAid blog

We publish practical, original writing about job searching, career growth, and the human side of hiring. If you have a story or a hard-won lesson worth sharing, we would love to read your pitch.

What we're looking for

Our readers are job seekers and career changers who want honest, actionable advice. The best submissions are specific, experience-backed, and genuinely useful. Topics we love include:

  • Job-search strategy that actually worked for you — with the details, not just the takeaways
  • Career growth, transitions, and lessons learned from real turning points
  • Interview preparation and what it's really like on both sides of the table
  • CV, resume, and cover-letter craft, backed by examples
  • The role of AI in modern hiring — used well, and where its limits are

Editorial guidelines

  • Original and unpublished. We only accept work that has not appeared elsewhere, including your own blog.
  • Aim for 800–1,500 words. Long enough to be useful, short enough to respect the reader's time.
  • Write for people first. Clear, warm, and jargon-free — no keyword stuffing and no thinly-veiled ads.
  • Back up your claims. Link to credible sources, and cite data where you use it.
  • Make it practical. Every piece should leave the reader with something they can act on.
  • Light promotion is fine. You get an author byline and one relevant link; the piece itself stays editorial.
  • We may edit for clarity, length, and house style, and we will share changes before publishing.

What to include in your pitch

You don't need a finished draft to pitch — a clear idea is enough to start. Send us:

  • A working title and a two-to-three sentence summary of your angle
  • A short outline, or the draft itself if you have one
  • A sentence about you and why you're the right person to write it
  • Links to anything you've published before (optional)

Frequently asked questions

Do you pay for guest posts?
We don't offer payment at this time. In return you get a byline, an author bio, and one relevant link, plus distribution to our readership and newsletter.
How long until I hear back?
We aim to respond to every pitch within two weeks. If the timing isn't right we'll say so — a no from us isn't a comment on your idea's worth.
Can I include a link to my own site?
Yes. Every published author gets a byline and one relevant, non-promotional link. The article itself needs to stay useful and editorial rather than a sales pitch.
