Personal Statement

Definition

A personal statement is a short paragraph at the top of a CV that summarises who you are, your key strengths, and what you are looking for. Typically three to five sentences, it gives recruiters an immediate sense of your value before they read the detail. The most effective personal statements are tailored to each role and lead with the qualities that matter most to that specific employer.
