Elevator Pitch
Definition
An elevator pitch is a brief, persuasive summary of who you are, what you do, and what you are looking for, short enough to deliver in the time of a lift ride. In a job search it captures your professional value in 30 to 60 seconds, ready for networking events, interviews, or a recruiter's "tell me about yourself." A strong pitch is specific, confident, and tailored to the listener.
Usage Example
At the careers fair she opened with a 30-second elevator pitch summarising her background and the role she wanted.
