Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Definition
An applicant tracking system is software employers use to collect, sort, and rank job applications before a human reviewer sees them. It parses each CV for keywords, job titles, and qualifications that match the job description, then surfaces the strongest matches first. Because most mid-to-large companies rely on an ATS, a CV that ignores how these systems read text can be filtered out before anyone reads it.
Usage Example
Tailor your CV with the exact keywords from the job description so it passes the ATS scan and reaches a recruiter.
