Behavioural Interview

Definition

A behavioural interview assesses how you have handled real situations in the past, on the basis that past behaviour predicts future performance. Questions often begin with "tell me about a time when," probing teamwork, conflict, leadership, or failure. The STAR method, structuring answers by Situation, Task, Action, and Result, is the standard way to give clear, evidence-based responses in this format.

Usage Example

In the behavioural interview he was asked to describe a time he resolved a disagreement within his team.
